Hey Everybody,
it looks like it is getting to that time again! I have got some details nailed down for the 2nd Annual Ultimate Charity Tournament, so I thought I would get a jump on things by posting it up here!

First of all, after some deliberations, we have finally settled on the Durham Children's Aid Foundation as our Charity. You may have heard talk of other charities, but this is the final selection! They are a great organization committed to bringing people and financial resources together to improve the quality of life for children and youth, and to help them reach their full potential.

Now as for the details of the actual tournament:
Date: July 7th
Place: Eastdale Collegiate (same as last year, on the corner of Harmony and Adelaide)
Number of teams: There is room for 16 teams this year!
Registration Fee: EARLYBIRD FEE (register and pay before June 7) $100 per team
REGULAR FEE $120 per team
Whats included in the fee? Every team is guaranteed 3 games. Lunch is provided, and every participant will recieve a souvenir item (possibly a T-Shirt or a Disc...still being worked out). There will also be a BBQ, entertainment during the lunch break, LOTS of prizes, and a 50/50 draw!

This years event is shaping up to be bigger and better than last year, and I am really looking forward to it. Captains...let your teams know! Any questions or concerns can be sent to ul ... @gmail.com, or feel free to reply to this post!

Hey again all...

so I haven't heard a word from anyone in the league outside my own team regarding the charity tournament. I just want to double check the level of interest?! Please remember that this is a charity event and all funds raised will be going to the Durham Children's Aid Foundation, so its important that we get as many people out as possible.

Lets get some buzz going about this tourny! The one this wknd was a blast and I think we could really make the Charity Tourny an equal success!

TOURNAMENT UPDATE

To register for the charity tournament, teams will just need to send an email to ul ... @gmail.com with the following:

The team name in the sujbect line.

Then in the body I need the Name of the captain or person doing the organizingfor that team. I also need contact info (email and phone number) and the approximate number of people who will participate. A ballpark number is good...doesn't need to be exact.

Once I hear from teams, I will email them to confirm that I've recieved their information and to let them know when to pay.

My team is hard to get in contact with, and im not the captain either. I am sure once the season starts, all the teams will be able to communicate with each other more, and then let you know for sure.
I know myself individually may not be able to make it but would always try.
