I had a question about etiquette regarding the disc back into play. I am asking for my benefit when I introduce new players to the spirit of the game.

If you are in your end zone or sideline and the pass was incomplete, when you grab the disc and run up to the line, there is a player who is about to obviously mark up on you. I had heard that it was proper "etiquette" to let them tap the disc and start stalling rather than run around them and tap it into play. I heard that running and tapping in before they mark up is legal but is generally considered against etiquette. Would anyone be able to confirm or debunk this?

I had another question asked of me that is similar, when a huck is thrown and the receiving team calls mid then taps it in on the side rather than bringing it to the middle, would that be perceived in the same light as tapping it in around a player instead of waiting for them?

You are allowed to run it up quickly and tap it in, but you don't have a choice of choosing where to tap the disc in. It is directly straight up to the goal line.
If the disc went out of bounds in the back of the endzone, you walk it up from the point where the disc left the endzone.
If the disc went out of bounds from the side, you start play on the cone.

Off a pull that goes out of bounds, if middle is called (must be called before disc is picked up), you have to play it from the middle. If it is not called, then you have to play it on the sideline.

When the disc has gone out of play and you are returning to the field with it, whether you offer the disc to the other player or tap it in on the ground is up to you. If someone is standing there you might as well offer it to them to tap, but you don't have to. You can just tap it on the ground and then go. Players can not choose their own location for putting the disc into play. In other words they cannot run around you to get a better position to throw from. So as long as you have come to the proper location where the disc should be put in to play then just tap it on the ground.

If a foul has occured you do have to wait for the other team to say they are ready and then you can either tap it in on the ground or let them tap it in.
