I was just wondering if anybody knows if there is a name for the blocking maneuver, when the thrower has just thrown the disc to somebody on their team, and the person covering the thrower (cup) instantly blocks it. The disc has left the hand of the thrower so the block is legit.

Its an awesome move and illusive at most times, and I was just wondering if anybody knows whether it has a name (or not), or has their own name for it, or perhaps we could come up with a name for it.

hmmm...good question

how about the 'MEGA block'?
not to be confused with the 'LEGO block'...which would be appropriate if blocked with the leg (might not be legal, but still funny in this demented head)

if you take one off the noggin i guess that would be a 'BLOCKHEAD'?!
now if one of us fellas take one in the groin, what would we call that???

batman.

Ok, I did a little bit of searching, and I think the term we are looking for is Point Block. However, I think it needs a better name.

Here is a link where I got it from...
