In practices and in a few games lately, there has been a few incidents of people running into eachother, particularly in the air.
This is my first season and I have no idea what the rules are in these spots, but it's my understanding that this is a non-contact sport.
It may be good to have the specific rules on this posted here, and to make sure that the captains/coaches explain them to their teams.

Hey Dave! Though Ultimate is a non-contact sport, like any sport accidents do happen. All we can do is play as safely as possible. Everyone wants to come up with the disc, and there are times where two or more people are looking at the disc in the air and not taking as much notice to thier surroundings as they should. If contact is made and you feel that it could have been avoided then discuss is with the other player. The great thing about "Spirit of the game" is that most people will take the time to make sure everything works out in the end and to make everyone as happy as possible with the call. If there are lots of incidents, that's just poor luck I think. In my experience however, there really hasnt been too many problems with collision. Though it does happen.
If things seem to be getting out of hand, and there is way too much contact going on, call a time out or wait t'll half time, and discuss it with the other team's captain. Contact does happen, but I hear ya! It shouldnt have to happen in excess. You could also get everyone on the field involved in a huge group hug or BEER POINT!!!!
