Yup LP I saw the final and it was a great battle.
I also hung around the fields and saw some great ultimate in the A, B2 and C semis and finals. I'm sure there were some great games in B1 and D as well I just didn't have time to see them all.
Congrats to DUC Hunters for their win over the very talented Blue Steel in A.
Congrats also to Weapons of Mass DISCtruction who pulled out a great 10-7 victory over my hard fighting and very injured Huck'n Heroes for the B2 glory.. GREAT game and fun as always.
And congrats to the unbeatable Gotta Dump for beating out Hammerheads for the C championship and for their unbeaten season and perfect record right thru the playoffs. If my math is right that should be 19-0 (11 reg season + 6 quarter finals + semi + final games). WOW! Rumour has it they are leapfrogging over B2, passing GO, collecting (what? only $100??) and hop skip jumping over B1 to dominate A division next year. Oh and.. they've requested it be a ladder system.

In the C Divison, Gotta Dump beat Huckin' Hustlers in the semis to advance to the finals where they were victorious over the Hammer Heads to secure the C Division Championship title.
Gotta Dump's secret weapon was recruiting a number of graduates of Durhams successful high school ultimate programs and bringing them into the DUC family. There was only one requirement to joining Gotta Dump...lets just say new recruits had to have a case of the runs.
Team admin will continue to scout actively through the winter to offset the talent constipation that comes with the advanced age of the rest of the team.
Like potty training, the young learning from the old was the key to our success.
There has been much talk of taking our Dump up to B2 next season. Lets just say we here at Gotta Dump....love a little movement
