A couple of times this indoor season our team has been asked not to use foot blocks. We are ok with determining this at the start of the game if removing foot blocks are to be up for discussion. Is this the case in all divisions on Sundays?

On a related note, what about a defender that is not marking the disc. I was playing at the top of our cup about 10ft in front of the disc, not counting stalls, but was putting my foot out occasionally when it appeared the handler was trying to shoot a disc through.

Aside from any comments related to how someone my shape manages to maintain balance with a foot extended (weebles wobble but they don't fall down) is this permitted?

If you are top of the cup then you are not the marker. Therefore it cannot be a marking fowl, which a footblock is.

I had the understanding that competitive division had footblocks in by default, and recreation out be default. If two captains dont agree in competitive, then it is still in.

I have not idea what intermediate division would be.

The beauty of ultimate is that if two captains agree on a rule it applies regardless of league or official rules.

Just for general knowledge, if someone does throw up a footblock, the proper call is fowl.

If someone's foot is in contact with the ground and it contacts them below the knee it is not considered a footblock.

I clarified this earlier this winter season. The ruling from Kevin (to my understanding) is that this is a ladder, not competitive (where foot blocks are default unless specified otherwise), as teams who might have gone rec can now advance to the upper division and so like in rec no foot blocks is the default (unless captains agree they are in).

Also I can't help but notice that the classic Crawford Weeble does bare a striking resemblance to the real thing (although what's with the smile???)
