The league has flip flopped so many times, that many people, including captains have different understandings of the sub rule. I know, I just asked multiple invested longterm, knowledgeable players, with many differing takes. Could the league send out a general email and a separate one specifically to captains so we can all be on the same page. My understanding was that for Sunday indoor games, a player registered on a team could not sub on another. They can only play if on the 2nd team's roster (even if not a paying roster member). Only players on sub list who are not Atta he'd to a team (not on any roster in league) can sub openly for any team. Correct? Let's hear league management! |

The league did send out an email clearly telling all players to read the indoor rules. Please read the rules as requested and then let us know if you don't understand something. |

The relevant points from the indoor rules in question:
12. Two Roster Limit: In most circumstances, a player should only appear on one roster. The exception agreed upon by league captains is that if you happen to be a paid rostered member of two teams, then you are allowed to play for both teams. Players should not be on more than two rosters.
15. If teams are going to be short players for a game they can only use eligible subs. Eligible Sub Rule: To be eligible as a sub you must be on the sub list (which is a Google doc that can be found under the registration tab), a member of DUC, and not on the roster for a team in the division you are subbing for. Rostered players cannot sub for any teams. |

Bryan, my understanding of the rules is the same as yours.
My interpretation (and I could be wrong) of the phrase "the division you are subbing for" is that it applies regardless of the Sunday "group" your team is currently in (top 6, middle 6, or bottom 10). So anyone on ANY Sunday team roster cannot sub on ANY other Sunday team.
It is a bit confusing because, in the "Sunday Information" email and news item, the words "group" and "division" are used interchangeably:
I formed three groups within the 22 team division. The top two groups have six teams... |
... there will be some movement between divisions ... |
I believe that last phrase was supposed to say groups.
But I didn't write any of it - I just get to figure out what it means, like you do. |

|
Yes in the email, the that last use of the word "division" was supposed to be groups.
... there will be some movement between divisions ... |
Every team that plays on Sundays is in the same division. It is called the Sunday division.
Victor/Bryan, You cannot add players to your roster that have not paid to be on your roster so your interpretation of that is incorrect. |

Thank you for clarifying, Kevin |
