Good afternoon Durham Ultimate Club members.
I am posting here to announce my resignation from the DUC Executive. I have volunteered as the Treasurer of the league for many years, but I feel there is a need for change at this time. My hope is that by stepping down from this position a fresh perspective might appear in the Board of Directors. My exit recommendations for the DUC League Executive are as follows;
I suggest a larger executive be formed composed of more members and an odd number for voting purposes rather than the existing 4 (Kevin MacLeod, Bryce Zimny, Jodi Gorham and myself). If we wish the league to grow more positively, I firmly believe that the board membership should be composed of a much broader demographic that more widely represents our players. Specifically, youth, female and non-hetero individuals have little to no representation in the leadership of the league. I don’t think the Board needs another middle-aged, white, hetero male

Thanks for all the (thankless) work over years Chris, DUC certainly wouldn't be where it is today without your contribution.
A league is only as good as the people willing to do the work to keep it running.
I hope that others will be willing to step up and put the time in too - I have benefited immensely from it. |
