In the event of two teams being tied in the standings at the end of the season the tie-breaking formula for standings is as follows:
1. Total Points
2. Head to Head Record
3. Scheduling of championship deciding games. (2nd sunday in September at 3 pm)
Although, this webpage tracks points for and against, these will not be used as tie breakers. There are two reasons for this decision.
1. We do not want teams running up the scores in order to make sure if there is a tie in the standings they win by +/-. This goes against the spirit of the game.
2.Without proper officials (referees in most sports) to enter scores the scores entered by the captains are often just approximations. |
